October Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Dear Friends,

Breast cancer isn’t a disease with a single story. It’s as diverse and complex as our global community and has a profound impact on everyone it touches.

This month, we’re teaming up with the Cancer Resource Center to support community members with cancer AND with some of our favorite brands to support breast cancer research and awareness.

 

Here’s how you can join us!

  • Purchase your favorite retail products when at the salon or for curbside pickup. We’ll donate 10% of all proceeds to The Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes.
  • Support The Cancer Resource Center directly through our fundraising page.
  • Purchase special products from Aveda and Bumble and bumble and support their global initiative that has already contributed over 99 million dollars to the fight against breast cancer.

Satori’s Self-Care Solutions:

Our commitment doesn’t end with October! Satori Salon supports those in our community who are struggling with the challenges associated with cancer all year long. If you or someone you know is navigating the challenges of cancer and could use a bit of pampering, please call Satori at 607-266-0130. We are committed to meeting each individual’s needs with a range of complimentary services including:

  • Shampoo and blow-dry
  • Head shaving or a shorter cut
  • Wig consultations, cleaning, and styling
  • Advice and support through growing out hair after chemotherapy
  • Skincare and makeup tips and samples of our favorite products

    Protocol Update September 19, 2021

    Current Policies: Update Sept. 19, 2021

    Dear Friends,
    In an effort to keep our community safe and in compliance with the latest guidelines issued by Governor Hochul, we have adjusted our safety protocols regarding COVID-19.

    When visiting the salon:

    • Please do not come in if you are feeling unwell.
    • We ask that you call from your car before entering the salon for your appointment.
    • Please wear a mask for your visit, regardless of vaccination status.
    • When you arrive you will be asked a few screening questions:
      • Have you or anyone in your household recently tested positive for COVID-19?
      • Are you experiencing any symptoms related to COVID-19?

    Adjustments to services offered:

    • We are suspending all waxing services that require your mask to be removed (lip, chin, nose).
    • We are suspending all make-up applications.

    Shopping:

    • We encourage curbside pick-up for product purchases. You can reach us by email with your request at [email protected], fill out an online order form or simply give us a call, we can take payment over the phone.
    • We also encourage contactless payments. We recommend purchasing gift cards online to use for future appointments.

    Regarding Satori Salon Team Members:

    • All Satori Salon team members are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and agree to comply with all recommendations regarding booster shots as necessary.
    • All Satori Salon team members will undergo health screening including temperature each workday morning.

    We will continue keeping a close eye on these developments and be responding to any new information as well as guidance from the Health Department.

      with a scheduled lunch break from 12:30-1:30
    • Saturday and Sunday 9am to 4:00pm
      with a scheduled lunch break from 12:00-1:00

    We will not be answering the phone during the lunch break.

      Renovations Underway!

      We’re Doing Some Renovations!

      We are so excited to be doing some remodeling to make our salon even more cozy and comfortable. In order to get this done we will have some adjustments to our schedule.

      We will be closed for nail and waxing services from Wed. July 7-the 15th while construction is taking place in our treatment rooms and nail area.

      We will continue with hair services July 6th – 10th, but it may be a little loud! 

      Will will be closed completely from Sunday July 11 through Thursday July 15.

      We can’t wait to see what you think of our upgrades!

      Protocol Update!

      As of April 24th, all members of Team Satori Are fully vaccinated!

      May 19, 2021

      At Satori we have and will continue to put the health and safety of our team, clients and community first!

      Though the mask mandate has lifted, we will continue to go above and beyond what is required to keep our space clean and safe.

      Current Safety Protocols:

      • We ask that all guests who are not vaccinated to please wear a mask when inside the salon.
      • We will continue to keep 6 feet distance where possible and have dividers where it is not.
      • Satori Team members will continue to wear masks while providing nail and waxing services.
      • All surfaces, as well as salon stations will continue to be sanitized between each client.
      • Satori will also maintain 2 private rooms for anyone to choose as an option to being on the main floor.

      What to expect when you visit Satori Salon:

      When you arrive for your appointment, feel free to either come in or call from your car to let us know you have arrived.

      We have provided a lovely outdoor seating area for the summer. You are welcome to wait on the front patio, in your car or come in and do a little shopping before your appointment.

      As of April 24th, all members of Team Satori Are fully vaccinated!

      Safety Protocols Remain in Place as Follows:

      • All clients must continue to wear a mask and comply with the safety measures put in place by the New York State Board of Cosmetology.
      • If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the two weeks prior to your appointment, please reschedule with us.

      What to Expect:

      • When you arrive for your appointment, please call us from the parking area. If you get the machine, leave a message and wait in your car, your stylist will be looking for you.
      • Once we have completed the sterilization required between each client, we will call or come get you.
      • If you’d like to pay with a gift card, please purchase at least one day before your appointment. Gift cards can be purchased online or over the phone.
      • Gratuities can be given to stylists/technicians directly using PayPal, Venmo, Cash, or Check. Each Stylist will have their Venmo/ PayPal information posted on their mirrors.
      • Blowdrying has been moved back onto the main floor. We still have a private room available if you would feel more comfortable.

      • If you have traveled outside of New York State, PLEASE MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT (or reschedule your appointment) AT LEAST TWO WEEKS AFTER YOUR RETURN.

      Hours:

      To ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing:

      • All employees will be getting tested every two weeks and we will be following additional safety measures such as checking temperatures daily.
      • We ask that all of our clients comply with the safety measures put in place by the New York State Board of Cosmetology.
      • We will require all clients to please wear a mask.
      • We also ask that you bring in your phone only. We ask that you please not bring in pocketbooks, newspapers, magazines.

      How appointments will go:

      • When you arrive for your appointment, please call us from the parking area. If you get the machine, leave a message and wait in your car, your stylist will be looking for you.
      • Once we have completed the sterilization required between each client, we will call or come get you.

      Checking is as “hands-free” as possible: 

      • If you’d like to pay with a gift card, please purchase at least one day before your appointment. Gift cards can be purchased online or over the phone.
      • Credit cards and checks are accepted.
      • We will not be handling cash at this time.

      Gratuities: 

      We are so appreciative of how generous our clients are with showing gratitude through gratuity.  

      • Gratuities can be given to stylists/technicians directly through PayPal, Venmo, Cash, or Check. Each Stylist will have their Venmo/ PayPal information posted on their mirrors.
