Our Re-opening Plan!

Dear Friends,

We will be continuing to call and rebook the clients who had appointments since the Stay at home order began.

To ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing:

  • All employees will be getting tested every two weeks and we will be following additional safety measures such as checking temperatures daily.
  • We ask that all of our clients comply with the safety measures put in place by the New York State Board of Cosmetology.
  • We will require all clients to please wear a mask.
  • We also ask that you bring in your phone only. We ask that you please not bring in pocketbooks, newspapers, magazines.
  • We are being advised not to use blow-dryers for the time being. I’m looking for clarification on this, as soon as I know for sure if it’s a restriction or a suggestion, I will act accordingly.

This is how appointments will go:

  • When you arrive for your appointment, please give us a call from your car.
  • Once we have completed our Sterilization required between each client, we will come get you or call you to come in.

Checking out will be as “hands free” as possible: 

  • We ask that you pay with Gift certificates purchased in advance.
  • Credit cards can be kept on file for use.
  • Checks will be accepted.
  • Stylists will be checking out their own clients in order to limit the amount of people in the salon.
  • Ella will be looking forward to your calls to schedule your future appointments.

Gratuities: 
We are so appreciative of how generous our clients are with showing gratitude through gratuity. We can no longer facilitate Gratuities through the front desk. 

  • Gratuities can be given to stylists/technicians directly through PayPal, Venmo, Cash or Check. Each Stylist will have their Venmo/ paypal information posted on their mirrors.

Once we get the rules and regulations down, we can focus on the fun!! We can’t wait to see you and get back to what we love!

We are so very excited to reopen with a brand new product line to share! Introducing amika, friend to hair, hairstylists, her, him, you and them!

We are reopening this Saturday and are absolutely thrilled! We can’t wait to see you and introduce you to these amazing products!

Soon we will sharing our protocols for coming to the salon and until things are back to something more normal, we will continue curbside pickup.

Dear Friends,

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all of the love and support you have shown Satori during this crazy time.

As you know, five regions in the state, including ours began the process of reopening on Friday. At Satori, we are busily working to make sure our reopening goes as safely and smoothly as possible.

Hair salons are scheduled to reopen as part of PHASE II. We know so many of you are eager to get in to see us, and we can’t wait to see you!

Our Booking Plan:

  • Those clients with appointments that were canceled in March will be called first
  • Next, we will call those with existing June appointments
  • Beginning June first we will begin taking calls for new bookings

The health department is helping us with many protocols that will need to be set in place for a safe environment for all of us. We will be sharing those guidelines and any new updates we have with you as soon as next week.

Announcing Satori Curbside Product Pickup!

Dear Loyal Clients,

I wanted to give you an update on what’s happening at Satori Salon.

I am working diligently behind the scenes to create the space we all want to come back to! Satori is going through a deep cleaning as well as a few fun improvements. I am seeking out new industry standards that will be put in place for safety and wellbeing for both our team members and clients. To accomplish this I’m taking part in virtual meetings being attended by Salon owners and industry leaders from across the country. I’ve also enrolled in a virtual business course provided by Aveda. It’s a great opportunity for me to gain the knowledge, tools, and advice I need to make sure we come back strong with our best practices in place.

I am so grateful for the awesome support you have given us. You truly are the most amazing, kind, and generous community of people. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not surprised, just impressed. Your Gift certificate sales have supported Satori in so many ways! I’m able to continue providing healthcare and other essentials for my team, Thank You!

We know many of you have begun to fret over your color and I can support you with products! We have color camouflage sticks, Color hair powder, and color enhancing shampoos and conditioners as well as all of your Aveda, BareMinerals and Bumble and bumble favorites in stock and ready for purchase!

Here’s how we can make this work:

We’ve created an order form here where you can let us know what you need. Or reach out and we can take a look at your purchase history and help you determine the best options for your color and other needs. 

Payments can be made by credit card by phone or I can send you a Paypal invoice to be paid online.

I will be filling requests on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Once your order is filled I will text or call you and you can pick up at a table in front of Satori.
